HVAC Specialist Job Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of HVAC systems Troubleshoot and repair air, steam, pneumatic, and hydronic systems and related controls Operate and monitor HVAC control systems to maintain safe and comfortable environments Tune boilers, program and operate facility control systems, and maintain detailed equipment logs Develop and manage equipment start-up and shut-down schedules Support system modifications, upgrades, and repairs as needed Provide technical guidance to internal teams and monitor contractor performance

Strong working knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems Hands-on experience with HVAC components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, and ductwork Understanding of refrigerant handling, recovery, and recycling procedures Skilled in installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and light industrial environments Minimum of 3 years of experience maintaining HVAC systems, with exposure to commercial or industrial electrical and plumbing systems preferred IND 2
