HVAC Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to install commercial HVAC duct systems, including rectangular, spiral, and flex ducts. You will be required to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and job specifications to ensure accurate installations. Responsibilities Install commercial HVAC duct systems including rectangular, spiral, and flex ducts. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and job specifications. Measure, cut, and fabricate sheet metal components as needed. Set hangers, supports, and brackets to secure ductwork per code and contractor standards. Seal joints and seams using approved materials such as mastic and tape. Operate hand and power tools such as snips, brakes, drills, and shears. Collaborate with foremen and project managers to maintain workflow and meet deadlines. Follow all safety procedures including fall protection, PPE use, and site protocols. Assist with equipment installation such as VAV boxes, diffusers, and grilles. Troubleshoot installation issues and adjust duct routing as required. Essential Skills 3+ years of commercial HVAC duct installation experience. Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow layout instructions. Strong understanding of duct fittings, transitions, offsets, and takeoffs. Proficiency with sheet metal tools and fabrication basics. Comfort working at heights on lifts, ladders, and scaffolding. Reliable transportation and punctuality. Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the day. Why Work Here?
