In this vital role, you'll lead technical operations on complex HVAC/R rack systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability. Your expertise will drive maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation projects while mentoring junior technicians. Responsibilities Lead the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R rack systems with precision and efficiency. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Supervise field service activities including repairs of refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, boilers, and related mechanical equipment. Review HVAC design plans and schematics to ensure proper system setup and compliance with safety standards. Coordinate with property maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation of plumbing, appliance repair, and mechanical systems. Train and mentor junior technicians on equipment repair techniques, welding procedures, and safety protocols. Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and inspection reports to ensure accountability and continuous improvement. Requirements Proven construction experience combined with service technician background in HVAC/R systems. Strong knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration, and plumbing fundamentals. Mechanical knowledge encompassing boilers, pumps, valves, welding techniques, and equipment repair. Field service experience with a focus on air conditioning units, property maintenance tasks, appliance repair, and equipment troubleshooting. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred. Hands-on experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills paired with the ability to lead a team under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
