Duties Assist senior technicians with the installation of HVAC systems, including ductwork, air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment such as ammonia refrigeration systems. Support plumbing tasks such as pipe fitting, fixture installation, and leak repairs while following schematics and HVAC design plans. Help with equipment repair and maintenance activities on various mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation. Use tools like ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and welding equipment for metal fabrication tasks when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols during field service operations. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to assist in system setup and troubleshooting. Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems, including refrigerant handling and appliance repairs. Qualifications Prior experience or training in construction, service technician roles, or mechanical trades is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, refrigeration, or boiler operation is highly desirable. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and property maintenance practices will set you apart. Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in equipment repair or appliance servicing is advantageous. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform basic welding or equipment repair tasks confidently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate driver vehicles is required.
