In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Responsibilities Service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan. Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments. Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems, including pipe repairs and refrigerant line installations. Repair appliances related to HVAC/R systems and handle ammonia refrigeration units with safety compliance. Weld or fabricate components as needed for equipment repair or system modifications. Operate a driver vehicle safely for field service visits across multiple sites. Ensure all work complies with safety standards, including proper handling of refrigerants and ammonia refrigeration systems. Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs for all completed work. Skills Extensive experience in construction environments with a solid understanding of HVAC installation processes. Proven service technician experience with a focus on HVAC/R systems and property maintenance. Strong knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design principles for accurate troubleshooting. Mechanical expertise in equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, and appliance servicing. Familiarity with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration units. Ability to read electrical diagrams and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Experience with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems; knowledge of field service procedures is essential. Mechanical knowledge of various HVAC components like compressors, fans, filters, thermostats, and ductwork. Skilled in the use of tools required for maintenance and repair activities in commercial or residential settings. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as welding equipment safely when necessary.
