In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of HVAC equipment across various properties, contributing to comfortable and safe environments for our clients. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units (including ammonia refrigeration), and other mechanical equipment. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure efficient operation and longevity. Conduct plumbing and appliance repairs related to HVAC systems as needed. Use specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for system repairs. Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports documenting all inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. Operate a driver vehicle safely to reach various job sites promptly while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or similar field service role with a strong mechanical background. Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC installation and property maintenance. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, refrigeration technology (including ammonia refrigeration), and boiler operation. Mechanical knowledge encompassing equipment repair, welding techniques, and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Hands-on experience with appliance repair and general maintenance tasks within commercial or residential settings. Ability to read technical diagrams accurately and follow safety procedures diligently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating driver vehicles preferred.
