Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor comfort, energy efficiency, and safety by diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and installing HVAC equipment. Duties Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ventilation equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of HVAC equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately install or repair complex systems. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems and refrigeration lines; repair or replace components as needed. Operate welding tools and perform equipment repair tasks to maintain system integrity. Utilize field service techniques to respond promptly to service calls for appliance repair, property maintenance issues, or emergency HVAC needs. Maintain detailed records of service activities, parts used, and system performance for ongoing property management. Requirements Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong mechanical background in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, or related fields. Knowledge of construction practices relevant to HVAC installation and maintenance projects. Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans accurately. Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) equipment is highly desirable. Familiarity with plumbing systems, boiler operation, appliance repair, welding techniques, and property maintenance tasks. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred for transportation between sites. Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with field service experience in commercial or residential settings. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments while maintaining safety standards.
