Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems across various property types. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and reliable climate control for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of mechanical systems, including refrigeration, boilers, and ventilation units, in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will be key to delivering exceptional service and ensuring the comfort and safety of our customers. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment to prevent failures and extend system lifespan. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as piping repairs or replacements for refrigerant lines or water supply connections. Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices to identify electrical or mechanical faults in equipment. Repair appliances and mechanical components using welding techniques or other specialized methods as needed. Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions for each job site. Ensure compliance with safety standards including proper handling of ammonia refrigeration systems or other hazardous materials. Assist with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) system upgrades or new installations following project specifications. Support property maintenance efforts by addressing issues related to air conditioning systems or mechanical equipment across multiple sites. Requirements Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in construction environments preferred. Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration experience is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to boilers, plumbing systems, appliance repair, welding techniques, and equipment repair is essential. Familiarity with field service operations involving property maintenance or appliance troubleshooting in diverse settings. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical testing purposes. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers is a plus. Strong understanding of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units and mechanical components involved in climate control solutions. Experience working with schematics and technical manuals for system troubleshooting and installation planning. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
