Join our team and play a vital role in maintaining a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. As an HVAC / Maintenance Technician, you'll work hands-on with building systems, equipment, and grounds-ensuring everything operates at peak performance while supporting compliance with state and federal regulations. What You'll Do + Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building systems, including HVAC , electrical controls, plumbing, and mechanical equipment + Service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems + Perform general maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, masonry, and minor electrical work + Complete preventive maintenance according to scheduled plans + Maintain grounds and outdoor areas (mowing, plowing, sanding, etc.) to ensure safety and appearance + Repair furniture, move equipment, and assist with facility upkeep and organization + Respond to urgent or emergency maintenance issues, including occasional off-hours calls + Operate facility vehicles for errands, deliveries, and pickups + Accurately complete work orders and required documentation + Support the Maintenance Supervisor and step into leadership responsibilities when needed What We're Looking For + 5+ years of HVAC experience + Valid licensure in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, or boiler operation + Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (heat pumps, compressors, boilers, cooling towers, etc.) + Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and NFPA safety codes + Experience with general maintenance trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.) + Ability to safely operate maintenance tools, equipment, and vehicles + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail + Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) + Healthcare or long-term care experience preferred
