HVAC Technician Dass Holdings - 4.5 Detroit, MI Job Details Full-time $100,000 a year 17 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Electrical automation system implementation Energy efficiency & conservation System testing Ethernet E & I Full Job Description DDC Service Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize Building Automation Systems (BAS), Direct Digital Controls (DDC), PLC-based controls, and industrial instrumentation throughout Southeast Michigan. This role is ideal for a hands-on controls professional with strong HVAC controls, PLC, networking, and instrumentation troubleshooting experience. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, service, and maintain BAS/DDC systems. Diagnose and repair HVAC controls, sensors, actuators, valves, VFDs, and field devices. Perform startup, commissioning, point-to-point verification, loop checks, and operational testing. Troubleshoot PLC and SCADA-based control systems. Configure and calibrate instrumentation including pressure, level, and flow transmitters, switches, actuators, and pump controls. Resolve communication issues involving BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, LonWorks, and related networks. Modify control sequences to improve performance and energy efficiency. Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, one-lines, and control drawings. Document service work, troubleshooting, and system modifications. Support upgrades, retrofits, and modernization projects. Provide technical support and training to customers while maintaining a professional field presence.
