(TED) provides a multi-disciplinary quality of architecture and engineering. We have been able to provide our clients and communities with extensive experience in space planning and engineering design, and construction cost estimating. Triumph Engineering & Design, Inc. (TED) is currently searching for a talented Mechanical (HVAC) / Plumbing Designer in the State of Michigan. The job opening is a full time, permanent position at our office located in Grand Blanc, MI.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
MECHANICAL (HVAC) / PLUMBING
DESIGNER
With limited supervision, provide the technical, organizational and communication skills to produce well-designed and coordinated construction documents for HVAC and plumbing systems.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design HVAC and plumbing systems for multi-family residential facilities and commercial buildings including hotels, shopping plazas, restaurants and warehouses. Layout and size ductwork and piping. Load calculations. Prepare construction documents - drawings, specifications, calculations, and other specific details related to the project. Communicate and meet with clients. Coordinate with other necessary design disciplines. Approval of mechanical submittals related to client construction administration. Job site visits when necessary. Familiarity with Michigan building codes. Other requirements for the position include: Associate degree in related field preferred Applicable work experience Computer-aided drafting experience Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Revit (a plus), Trane or other similar software
