From design-phase consulting to hands-on start-ups, we partner with clients throughout the building lifecycle. The Role As a Building Systems HVAC Commissioning & Start-Up Technician serving the Michigan area, you'll lead start-up and service activities across air conditioning, heating, ventilation, humidity control, and energy management applications. You'll troubleshoot, repair, and fine-tune commercial HVAC equipment from a variety of manufacturers while representing Airtech with dependable, customer-first service. A Day in the Field Your morning might begin on a rooftop with a packaged unit start-up, verifying controls, airflow, and performance. By afternoon, you could be diagnosing a water-source heat pump issue, coordinating with site staff, and documenting findings. Throughout the day, you'll blend hands-on mechanical skill with thoughtful problem-solving to keep systems running at their best. What You'll Bring Proven field experience with commercial heating and air conditioning systems. Working knowledge of commercial A/C and heating, water-source heat pumps, and rooftop packaged HVAC units. EPA Type 1 & 2 or Universal certification. Personal hand tools suitable for commercial HVAC service work. Clean driving record. OSHA 10-hour training certification (preferred).

Compensation Estimated salary:

$24 - $50/hr, with flexibility based on experience and skills.
