Back Mechanic-Refrigeration and Air Conditioning#2014587 Auburn Hills, Michigan, United StatesApply X Facebook LinkedIn Email Copy Job Description The Mechanic-Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various types of refrigeration and air conditioning units, equipment and corresponding control systems. The Mechanic-Refrigeration and Air Conditioning troubleshoots and repairs air handling units, dx, chilled water, hot water, humidifier systems, variable air volume boxes and all associated electric, pneumatic and direct digital controls. Additional responsibilities include servicing and maintaining both reciprocating and screw chillers, environmental test chambers as well as kitchen refrigeration equipment, custom automotive test cells, paint booths and building automation system (BAS). The Mechanic-Refrigeration and Air Conditioning must hold such licenses as the laws of the community require. Location(s) 1000 Chrysler Drive, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326,

United States Requirements Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent (GED)Eight (8) years of documented experience or a U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate as a Mechanic-Refrigeration and Air Conditioning in a Manufacturing EnvironmentAbility to work from blueprints, drawings, layouts or other specificationsAbility and knowledge in brazing and solderingAbility and knowledge to clean, lubricate, or adjust parts and equipmentAbility and knowledge to troubleshoot electrical controls, pneumatic controls, direct digital controls (DDC), and mechanical refrigeration components.

Ability and knowledge to install, troubleshoot and replace Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems and control modulesAbility and knowledge in PLC programming as it relates to HVAC equipmentAbility to inspect HVAC systems to detect malfunctions and make necessary repairs and adjustmentsAbility, with or without reasonable accommodation, to work any shift and work some overtime, including daily, weekend and holidaysPerform incidental tasks as required to complete the larger taskE.P.A. certified in refrigerant recoveryHolds such licenses as the laws of the community require
