$300/week ($1,200 total contract) About the Role We are seeking a part-time HVAC Instructor to lead a short-term microcredential course designed for adult learners. This 4-week class provides a "sneak peek" into HVAC training, helping students build foundational knowledge and help them determine if they want to pursue a full credential. This class is designed to support non-traditional adult learners with lower level literacy skills, and English Language learners.This course emphasizes:
Industry vocabulary Introductory HVAC concepts Shop math fundamentals System types and tools Test-taking and academic skill-building Key Responsibilities Facilitate engaging, supportive evening classes for adult learners Introduce foundational HVAC concepts in an accessible, beginner-friendly way Teach and reinforce industry vocabulary and basic shop math Support students in developing confidence with testing and coursework Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment Communicate regularly with program staff about student progress and needs Required Qualifications Experience working in the HVAC field (e.g., technician, installer, or related role) Strong communication skills and ability to explain concepts clearly Experience teaching or training adult learners Patience and ability to support learners at varying skill levels Commitment to working with diverse populations Preferred (Not Required) HVAC certification or formal HVAC Certified Trainer What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Patient and encouraging A clear and open communicator Passionate about helping others succeed Knowledgeable about the HVAC field and other training opportunities available Supportive of learners who may be returning to education after time away or who may struggle with reading Why Join Us?
