In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Duties Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, boilers, refrigeration units, and ammonia refrigeration equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans. Conduct system inspections and troubleshoot issues using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to ensure proper operation. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) equipment to maximize efficiency and lifespan. Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings to accurately assemble and install complex systems. Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, motors, valves, or electrical wiring in HVAC units. Collaborate with service technicians on field service calls involving appliance repair, property maintenance, or equipment troubleshooting. Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to plumbing, welding, refrigerants (including ammonia), and electrical systems during all phases of work. Experience Proven experience in construction or HVAC installation roles with a strong understanding of schematics and HVAC design principles. Service technician experience working with refrigeration systems, boilers, or property maintenance is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems, appliance repair, welding techniques, and equipment repair is essential. Familiarity with field service operations involving air conditioning units or ammonia refrigeration systems. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for troubleshooting electrical components. Experience working as a mechanic or in property maintenance roles will be considered an asset. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for travel between job sites.
