Responsibilities:
Aid the Foreman on the completion of commercial and industrial projects Take continuous direction from HVAC foremen and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. Handle the loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment Ensure attention to detail and follow safety standards Fuel and wash department vehicles Gain essential skills to progress within the HVAC department. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Support the installation of various types of HVAC equipment including, but not limited to dust collection systems, exhaust and ventilation systems, VAV systems, rooftop units, split units, ductless systems, chiller systems, refrigeration piping, and environmental chambers. Support other apprentices, journeyman, and foremen on various projects. Ensure the work vehicle is always well-stocked.
Requirements:
Mechanically inclined with common hand tools (tape measure, power drills, levels, screwdrivers, etc.). Participate in our employer sponsored
DOL HVAC
Apprenticeship Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in the residential or commercial HVAC setting. Ability to work effectively with all personality types. Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions. Self-directed and can work independently Valid driver's license. Capable of setting leveling curbs Measure, cut and install duct work and auxiliary components Installation of HVAC equipment including, but not limited to mini splits, rooftop units, make-up air units, and exhaust systems Utilize proper brazing methods to install interconnected piping for HVAC systems Lay out reference points for installation of structural and functional components Cut or drill holes in floors, walls, or roof to install equipment Measure, cut, and thread pipe Basic knowledge of the following: RTUs, MAU, Dust collection systems, exhaust systems, and mini splits
Preferred Requirements:
Lockout tagout Mig welding Blueprint reading EPA 608 Certification Equipment experience: Aerial

Telehandler Chauffeur LIC/Med DOT Physical Trailer Loading and Securing of Material Rigging Requirements:
Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials. Use & recognize limitations of chains, synthetic, metal mesh and wire rope slings Use & recognize rigging hardware including hooks, shackles, wire rope clips, clamps, eye bolts, softeners and tag lines Identifies common load configurations & positioning Rigger 2 training
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height. Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment. Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazards Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces. Must be able to work in cold/hot environments. Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.
