Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as condensate drain cleaning or pipe repairs. Repair refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration units used in commercial settings. Use tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to diagnose electrical issues and perform necessary repairs. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all work performed for accountability and future reference. Operate a driver vehicle safely while transporting equipment or parts to job sites. Collaborate with property managers or clients to develop HVAC solutions that meet their needs while adhering to safety standards. Stay current with industry advancements in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) technology and best practices. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction, HVAC repair, and property maintenance. Proven field service experience working with HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and related mechanical equipment. Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans accurately. Skilled in plumbing work related to HVAC applications; familiarity with ammonia refrigeration is a plus. Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; capable of performing electrical troubleshooting. Experience with welding techniques for equipment repair or fabrication tasks. Knowledge of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and boiler operation. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; comfortable operating service vehicles safely. Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills; adaptable to various property maintenance challenges. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments requiring mechanical expertise.
