HVAC Technician

Job Title:

HVAC Technician Job Description As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing residential HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioning units, heat pumps, mini-splits, thermostats, and IAQ add-ons. You will perform maintenance, inspections, and performance testing, while providing clear explanations to homeowners and recommending repair or replacement options when appropriate. You will complete service tickets accurately and close out jobs using Housecall Pro on an iPad or phone, and collect payment on-site at job completion. Responsibilities Service, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems. Perform maintenance, inspections, and performance testing. Provide clear explanations to homeowners and recommend repair vs. replacement options. Complete service tickets accurately using Housecall Pro. Collect payment on-site at job completion using approved methods. Install residential HVAC equipment and related components. Set equipment, run refrigerant lines, evacuate/charge systems, and verify airflow and static pressure. Confirm proper operation and install thermostats. Test system performance on startup and maintain install quality standards. Essential Skills 1+ years of HVAC service and/or install experience preferred. Ability to troubleshoot HVAC electrical and mechanical systems. Proficient in safely using standard HVAC tools. Basic understanding of refrigeration cycle, superheat/subcooling, airflow, duct basics, and static pressure. Electrical diagnosis skills (low/high voltage). Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Comfortable using phone/iPad software in the field. Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in attics/crawlspaces, climb ladders, and handle seasonal outdoor conditions. Strong customer service mindset and communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Tempstar systems is a plus. Strong mechanical candidates will be considered depending on experience Why Work Here?
