Job Description

Gilk Services is seeking a motivated and dependable HVAC Apprentice to join our growing team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry. You will work alongside experienced technicians to learn installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems in residential and/or commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist HVAC technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of heating and cooling systems Learn to troubleshoot HVAC equipment and identify issues Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment Follow all safety procedures and company policies Communicate effectively with team members and customers Attend training sessions and actively develop technical skills Any other duties and responsibilities that can be assigned by management to enhance the progression of Gilk Services. Minimum requirements of the HVAC Apprentice High school diploma or GED preferred Interest in HVAC or mechanical systems Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Mechanical ability and excellent problem solving skills Ability to communicate effectively Proficient in use of computer programs and technology related to the position Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces Well groomed, neat appearance Observe all company procedures and safety rules Maintain accurate time records and send to payroll when required Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction Benefits of the HVAC technician:
