  • Full-time Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Apprentice and kick-start your career in the essential field of climate control systems!
This paid apprenticeship offers a hands-on learning experience, where you'll develop practical skills in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, you'll gain exposure to a variety of systems including refrigeration, air conditioning, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to build a solid foundation in HVAC technology while contributing to property comfort and safety. Responsibilities Assist senior technicians with installing, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems across residential and commercial properties. Learn to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals related to HVAC design and system layouts. Support maintenance tasks on heating boilers, refrigeration units, air conditioning equipment, and other mechanical systems. Conduct routine inspections of HVAC equipment to identify issues and perform basic repairs using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment. Help with field service operations including appliance repair, property maintenance, and system upgrades. Gain experience in plumbing work related to HVAC systems and ammonia refrigeration processes when applicable. Follow safety protocols during all tasks, including proper handling of refrigerants and ammonia refrigeration components. Qualifications Strong interest in construction, mechanical systems, or property maintenance with a desire to learn HVAC trade skills. Previous service technician experience or exposure to field service environments is a plus. Basic understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical knowledge. Familiarity with tools such as ohmmeters or welding equipment is advantageous. Ability to work outdoors or in confined spaces while maintaining safety standards. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred. Nice-to-have skills include experience with refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, appliance repair, welding, or mechanic work.
