In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, refrigerant recharges, and mechanical adjustments to ensure peak performance. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems including pipe fitting, drainage, and ammonia refrigeration setups where applicable. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for metal repairs or modifications. Maintain detailed service records, complete reports on repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions. Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes during all installation and repair activities. Requirements Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or mechanic with a strong background in construction and property maintenance. Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems including refrigeration cycles like ammonia refrigeration. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans accurately. Mechanical knowledge of appliances such as boilers, pumps, fans, compressors, and other related equipment. Field service experience with a focus on equipment repair and preventative maintenance. Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC applications; experience with welding is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred. Proficiency using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with clients and team members.
