Job Description

Overview:
Part-Time, Onsite.
Pay:
$35 to $45 per hour, depending on experience
Location:
3205 N Twyman Rd, Independence, MO 64058
Schedule:
10 to 15 hours per week Are you an experienced HVAC professional who enjoys hands‑on work, collaboration, and mentoring others in a mission‑driven setting? Embark Behavioral Health is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team! At our residential campus for teenagers, you'll play a critical role in keeping our buildings safe, comfortable, and operational year-round. You will work closely with our maintenance team to diagnose, repair, and replace HVAC systems across a residential and commercial environment.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems, using Embark-provided tools and equipment Perform major repairs including recovery, brazing, vacuuming, charging, and system replacement Service 5‑ton split systems, mini‑splits, and large commercial units (up to 50‑ton) Safely handle refrigerants and complete proper system recovery Partner with and train Embark maintenance staff on HVAC best practices Support seasonal HVAC maintenance planning and documentation Willingness to work additional hours as needed during peak seasons or as system demands increase
Qualifications:
EPA 608 Certification , required Proven ability to independently diagnose and complete complex HVAC repairs Experience with heat pumps, mini‑splits, and commercial HVAC systems Hands‑on experience with brazing, charging, and system replacement Comfortable working in an active residential campus environment Knowledge of HVAC and maintenance safety protocols, OSHA guidelines , and emergency procedures; CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to complete employer‑provided training. Must maintain a current Missouri driver's license
