Job Description

Position Overview We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Field Technician to join a growing HVAC team serving residential and light commercial customers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the heating and cooling industry while receiving hands-on training and mentorship. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, trustworthy, customer-focused, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Essential Functions Complete required training and certifications Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems Assist with troubleshooting and repair of heating and cooling equipment Support installation of HVAC systems, ductwork, thermostats, and related equipment Maintain professional customer relationships through timely and respectful service Complete work orders, service documentation, and related paperwork accurately and timely Maintain clean and organized job sites, vehicles, tools, and equipment Follow all company and industry safety standards Duties & Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems Inspect and troubleshoot HVAC equipment issues Install replacement parts and assist with repairs Maintain preventative maintenance schedules including filters, belts, and coil cleaning Organize inventory, tools, and materials Travel to customer locations throughout the day to complete service calls Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and completed work Operate tools and equipment safely and properly Work collaboratively with technicians and team members Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Valid Montana driver's license required and clean driving record Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment Ability to use hand tools, power tools, gauges, and testing equipment Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Strong customer service skills and professional attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Vocational training, trade school, or apprenticeship experience preferred Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and reaching Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Comfortable working on ladders and in confined spaces Frequent travel throughout surrounding service areas What We Offer Full-time stable employment Hands-on training and career development opportunities Supportive team-oriented environment Advancement opportunities within the HVAC industry Overtime opportunities may be available
