Job Description
Lead HVAC Installer Lead. Build. Make an Impact. At Mountain Air, we don't just install HVAC systems—we build comfort into homes from the ground up. We're looking for an experienced installer who's ready to step into a leadership role, guide a team, and take pride in delivering high-quality craftsmanship on every project. What You'll Do Take ownership of your projects and lead every install with confidence and precision: Lead residential HVAC installations for new construction homes Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and indoor air quality (IAQ) systems Read and interpret blueprints, load calculations, and installation plans Ensure all work meets company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes Train, coach, and mentor apprentices and junior installers in the field Communicate clearly with homeowners, builders, and project stakeholders Maintain accurate job documentation including materials used, progress updates, and completion notes Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe at all times Troubleshoot on-site challenges and deliver timely, effective solutions What Success Looks Like You set the standard for quality, professionalism, and efficiency Installations are completed correctly the first time and pass inspection with confidence Your team looks to you for guidance, leadership, and development Builders and homeowners have a smooth, positive experience working with you Safety, accountability, and organization guide your daily work What You Bring 3+ years of residential HVAC installation experience (new construction preferred) Experience in a lead role or readiness to step into leadership Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and installation best practices Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents EPA Certification (required) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions Physical Requirements This is a hands-on leadership role that requires: Working in extreme and varying weather conditions Climbing ladders and working in elevated or confined spaces Lifting and carrying up to 50+ lbs Frequent bending, kneeling, crawling, and working in tight spaces such as attics and crawl spaces What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Company vehicle (for Lead Installers) Paid time off + holidays Health, dental, and vision insurance Ongoing training and professional development A supportive, team-first culture Clear opportunities for advancement as we grow Up to $5K sign-on bonus Why Mountain Air?
