Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial HVAC Field Supervisor to lead and oversee the installation of mechanical projects. This role is vital in ensuring that HVAC projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. As a key leader on our team, you will coordinate field operations, mentor technicians, and ensure customer satisfaction through expert service delivery. Your mechanical knowledge, leadership skills, and technical expertise will drive success across multiple projects and service calls. Responsibilities Supervise daily field activities related to commercial HVAC installation, service, and repair projects, ensuring work is completed on time and within scope. Coordinate with project managers, clients, and team members to plan work schedules and allocate resources effectively. Lead and mentor HVAC technicians in troubleshooting complex systems including refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and air conditioning units. Review schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical drawings to ensure proper implementation of systems. Conduct site inspections to verify safety protocols are followed and quality standards are maintained throughout all phases of work. Oversee equipment repair processes involving electrical components such as ohmmeters, welding tools, and other mechanical or plumbing systems. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports, safety logs, and compliance records. Skills Extensive experience with construction processes related to commercial HVAC systems. Proven background as a service technician with hands-on experience in HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems. Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, and mechanical knowledge. Skilled in field service operations including appliance repair and property maintenance tasks. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform equipment repairs involving electrical or mechanical components. Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and experience working with HVAC/R equipment in industrial settings. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating driver vehicles is preferred. Welding skills and boiler maintenance experience are advantageous for complex system troubleshooting. Excellent leadership abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high safety standards.
