HVAC Service Tech

Position Summary The HVAC Service Technician installs, maintains, and repairs HVAC systems. This role requires strong technical skills, a safety-first mindset, and a customer-focused approach. The technician should be able to troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, handle service calls, and have the ambition to continuously learn.

Key Responsibilities Installation:

Install HVAC systems, including heating units, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment according to specifications and safety standards.

Maintenance:

Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of HVAC systems.

Inspection:

Conduct thorough inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Customer Service:

Provide professional and courteous service to ensure customer satisfaction.

Safety Compliance:

Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Priority Responsibilities Mentor and support junior technicians Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs independently Participate in on-call and emergency service rotations Ensure accurate, complete job documentation and reporting to support proper billing. Maintain detailed service records, including parts used, service calls, and customer interactions.

Qualifications Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or degree in HVAC technology preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HVAC technician or in a related field.

Licenses/Certifications:

Valid HVAC technician certification and relevant licenses as required by local, state, or federal regulations. EPA certification preferred.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in the use of HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant components.

Customer Service:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain technical information to non-technical clients clearly and effectively.

Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to diagnose and repair complex HVAC issues efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Must be able to work in various weather conditions and environments.

Safety Awareness:
