Certification Full Job Description Our client, the U.S.'s largest commercial real estate services firm, is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to support a new pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Concord, NC . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial or industrial HVAC professional who enjoys preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment installation in a technically advanced environment. This is a contract-to-hire position working 12-hour night shifts .
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems and equipment Install, repair, adjust, and maintain HVAC equipment and associated components Troubleshoot mechanical equipment failures and determine appropriate repair solutions Inspect HVAC systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation Perform scheduled maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems Service electric and pneumatic control systems, including gauges, instruments, and control components Calibrate HVAC controls and system components as needed Identify equipment deficiencies and recommend modifications or improvements Complete work orders and preventive maintenance documentation within the CMMS system Maintain compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and applicable regulations Work independently while collaborating with Maintenance Mechanics, Plumbers, Electricians, and other facility personnel Support equipment installations and facility improvement projects Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and client representatives Assist with additional maintenance projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Trade school education or HVAC apprenticeship preferred Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC equipment Experience performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting HVAC systems Knowledge of HVAC controls, refrigeration, ventilation, and mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, and technical documentation Experience working in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environments Ability to utilize a CMMS or computerized maintenance management system Basic computer and email proficiency Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the position
Preferred Qualifications:
Trade school diploma or formal HVAC apprenticeship Experience within pharmaceutical or manufacturing facilities Previous experience working in highly regulated environments Experience with building automation or HVAC control systems Prior leadership or shift lead experience Experience working alongside multidisciplinary maintenance teams
