Furnace Technician 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars Fletcher, NC Full-time Linamar Light Metals Mills River LLC 811 reviews Full-time Furnace Tech Under general supervision, responsible for the set-up and operation of Mag Cell used in production processes. Work from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models. Shift between activities as production demands, determine and correct more complex machine malfunctions. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning. Performance Expectations Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar's Core Values and Leadership Behaviors. Support and maintain department lean initiatives. Maintain department 5S requirements. Clean and Maintain Mg. Furnaces Maintain Furnace Equipment, thermal couples and BBS probes Monitor and troubleshoot alarms Troubleshoot furnace faults Furnace repairs to keep the furnaces maintained and running Empty and replace dross bins Fill Flux containers Maintain furnace tools and PAPR Compete all required paperwork Credentials High School Graduate or equivalent. Two to Four years of Manufacturing experience a plus. High Pressure Die Casting a plus. Desired Characteristics Ability to work independently when needed. Must be a team player and work with the team, which includes mechanics, machinists, fellow operators, and management to ensure that machines are used efficiently, and work priorities are well managed. Ability to learn new specifications and procedures through on-the-job training and experience. Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written forms to various levels within the organization.
