Role Summary:
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience installing, servicing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems. This individual will work directly with customers, project managers, and controls engineers to ensure HVAC control systems operate efficiently and meet project specifications.

Install, startup, commission, and troubleshoot Building Automation Systems (BAS) and DDC controls. Perform preventative maintenance and service on HVAC control systems. Diagnose communication, networking, controller, sensor, and actuator issues. Install and terminate low-voltage control wiring and field devices. Configure and troubleshoot BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and IP-based building automation networks. Program, modify, and update BAS graphics, schedules, alarms, and control sequences. Commission HVAC equipment including VAV boxes, RTUs, AHUs, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, and exhaust systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical plans, and sequence of operations. Complete startup documentation, service reports, commissioning reports, and customer documentation. Work directly with customers to identify operational issues and recommend system improvements. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, electricians, and mechanical contractors during project execution. Ensure all work complies with company standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. Participate in after-hours emergency service rotation as required. Maintain a professional appearance and deliver exceptional customer service on every project.
Qualifications/Requirements:
3+ years of experience with HVAC Controls, BAS, or Building Automation Systems. Experience with one or more major BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls Metasys, Siemens Desigo, Schneider EcoStruxure, Honeywell EBI, Carrier i-Vu, Alerton, Automated Logic (ALC), Delta Controls, or Distech Controls. Strong understanding of HVAC systems including VAVs, AHUs, RTUs, chillers, boilers, and hydronic systems. Experience commissioning and troubleshooting DDC controllers and field devices. Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and IP networking. Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and mechanical drawings. EPA Certification, Niagara N4 Certification, or manufacturer certifications preferred but not required. Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely work from ladders and lifts. Willingness to travel locally to customer job sites with limited overnight travel as needed. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
