In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems across our facilities. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for all building occupants while supporting the overall efficiency of our operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced, energetic setting where proactive problem-solving and attention to detail are highly valued. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, refrigeration units, boilers, plumbing systems, and mechanical components to ensure peak performance. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify root causes efficiently. Conduct repairs on HVAC/R systems, including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), appliances, and mechanical equipment. Install new HVAC components or systems following HVAC design specifications and building codes. Operate welding tools and perform equipment repair tasks requiring mechanical knowledge and technical precision. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs for compliance and future reference. Support field service operations by responding promptly to service requests and ensuring minimal downtime across property assets. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in construction-related maintenance or property management environments. Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, boilers, and mechanical components. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical diagrams for troubleshooting and installation purposes. Mechanical skills including welding, equipment repair, and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Experience with HVAC/R design principles and field service operations is highly desirable. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred for transportation between sites. Certification or hands-on experience in appliance repair, boiler operation, or ammonia refrigeration is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
