Job Description

Up to $2,500 Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Candidates Central Heating & Cooling is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Start-Up Technician to join our growing team. Position Overview:
The HVAC Start-Up Technician will be responsible for starting up newly installed residential HVAC systems, verifying proper operation, performing system checks, and making sure each system is completed to company standards before turnover. A company vehicle will be provided, and this role will manage assigned start-up jobs from beginning to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Start up newly installed residential HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, and air handlers Verify proper system operation, airflow, refrigerant charge, wiring, drain operation, and thermostat setup Inspect equipment and installation quality before job completion Identify and correct minor installation or start-up issues Document start-up results, job notes, and any issues found in the field Communicate clearly with supervisors, installers, builders, and internal office teams Ensure all work meets company quality standards, manufacturer requirements, and local code expectations Maintain a clean and professional work area on job sites Manage assigned daily start-up schedule efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship
Qualifications:
1+ years of HVAC field experience preferred Basic knowledge of HVAC equipment, wiring, controls, refrigerant operation, and airflow EPA certification recommended Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and system schematics Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders as needed
