HVAC Residential Trim Installer- New Construction MTB Mechanical - 3.7 Matthews, NC Job Details Full-time $25 - $30 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Equipment installation Driver's License Construction plans Blueprint dimension interpretation Low-voltage electrical wiring Full Job Description Job Summary The HVAC Residential Trim Installer- New Construction is responsible for the final phase of HVAC installation in newly constructed residential homes. This position installs and connects HVAC equipment, registers, grilles, thermostats, and related components after drywall and finish work are completed. The Trim Installer ensures all systems are installed according to company standards, manufacturer specifications, and project schedules while maintaining a high level of quality and customer satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install HVAC equipment including condensers, heat pumps, thermostats, and indoor air quality products. Complete final trim-out of HVAC systems in newly constructed residential homes. Install supply and return grilles, registers, diffusers, thermostats, and equipment accessories. Connect refrigerant lines, condensate drains, electrical connections, and low-voltage wiring as required. Identify and correct installation deficiencies prior to homeowner occupancy. Maintain compliance with local building codes, company standards, and manufacturer requirements. Communicate with supervisors, builders, inspectors, and other trades to ensure project completion. Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Complete required paperwork, inspection reports, and job documentation accurately and timely. Safely operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum 1-3 years of residential HVAC installation experience. Knowledge of HVAC equipment, components, and installation practices. Ability to read blueprints, floor plans, and HVAC layouts. Familiarity with basic electrical and low-voltage wiring. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship. Preferred EPA Section 608 Certification. Experience with residential new construction projects. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to climb ladders, work in attics, crawl spaces, and confined areas. Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and temperatures. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to troubleshoot basic installation issues. Understanding of HVAC safety procedures and industry standards. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Time management and organizational skills. Ability to meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards. Work Schedule Full-time position. Monday through Friday.
Typical hours:
7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (may vary based on workload and construction schedules). Occasional overtime may be required. Benefits (if applicable) Competitive Production pay.
