Position Summary The Project Installer is responsible for assisting with the installation, replacement, and upgrade of commercial HVAC equipment and systems at customer sites. This role works closely with Project Managers, Foremen, and Service Technicians to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
Essential Core Competencies and Responsibilities:
Install commercial HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, controls, and related components Assist with equipment replacement and retrofit projects Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications Ensure all installations comply with applicable codes, regulations, and safety requirements Maintain a clean and organized work area at all job sites Operate hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment safely Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers as needed Complete required project documentation and reports Travel to various job sites as required Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous HVAC installation, construction, mechanical, or related experience preferred Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and work in confined spaces Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions Piedmont Service Group is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
