  • Friday 230 pm-11pm Installs, operates, maintains, and repairs all hospital mechanical and HVAC equipment and related machinery.
Installs, operates, maintains, and repairs HVAC control systems, including pneumatic and electro-pneumatic systems that control all hospital building environments. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Related Field of Study required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes Licenses and Credentials Heating and Ventilation Engineer [Massachusetts]
  • Massachusetts Board of State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters preferred Refrigeration Technician [Massachusetts]
  • Massachusetts Department of Public Safety and Inspections Division preferred Personal Drivers License (New Hampshire)
  • New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles preferred Fuel Gas Fitter [New Hampshire]
  • New Hampshire Mechanical Safety and Licensing Board preferred Experience HVAC experience 1-2 years required and Hospital mechanic experience 3-5 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of state and local building codes, blueprint reading, and use of tools and materials.
  • Ability to estimate time and materials needed to complete a job.
  • Able to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing 25
  • 100 pounds while climbing, balancing, standing, or crawling.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action in a timely fashion.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Must maintain the care and use of supplies and maintain the appearance of the department.
