HVAC Service Technician

Duties Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and appliances using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R systems to ensure peak performance and compliance with safety standards. Install new HVAC equipment following design specifications and schematics, ensuring proper operation and safety. Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot issues on-site, providing prompt solutions to minimize downtime. Repair plumbing components associated with HVAC systems, including condensate drains and refrigerant lines. Use tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing, welding equipment for repairs, and other mechanical tools for equipment repair. Maintain detailed service records, including inspection reports, repair logs, and system performance documentation. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields with strong mechanical knowledge. Familiarity with construction processes, schematics interpretation, HVAC design principles, and property maintenance practices. Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and HVAC/R systems. Ability to operate specialized tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments effectively. Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC setups and appliance repair skills is highly desirable. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving driver preferred. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field under minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
