1st shift Job Summary The HVAC Installer is responsible for the layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal components on construction sites. This role supports commercial and/or industrial construction projects and requires experience working from blueprints, using hand and power tools, and installing sheet metal systems in accordance with job specifications and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Measure, cut, fabricate, and assemble sheet metal components according to blueprints, drawings, and project specifications Install sheet metal systems such as ductwork, vents, flashing, panels, and related components on construction sites Layout and mark dimensions and reference points on materials for fabrication and installation Operate hand and power tools such as shears, brakes, drills, grinders, and other metal‑forming equipment Modify, trim, grind, and finish sheet metal parts to ensure proper fit and clean installation Secure sheet metal components using fasteners, welding, soldering, or mechanical connections as required Inspect finished work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements Follow all job site safety rules and construction safety standards Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to complete work efficiently and safely Required Qualifications Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic in a construction environment Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and installation techniques Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools related to sheet metal work Ability to measure accurately and perform layout work Physically able to lift materials, work at heights, and perform manual labor on active construction sites Reliable, safety‑focused, and able to work independently or as part of a crew Preferred Qualifications Experience with commercial or industrial construction projects Familiarity with HVAC ductwork installation or architectural sheet metal Safety training or relevant construction certifications Experience operating lifts, scaffolding, or other job site equipment
