This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and related mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, service technician experience, and mechanical knowledge. Experience with schematics, HVAC design, plumbing, welding, and equipment repair is highly desirable. A valid driver's license is required for this position. The successful applicant will play a vital role in ensuring our clients' comfort and system efficiency through expert installation and maintenance services. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and boilers according to specifications and schematics Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal operation Troubleshoot system issues using tools such as ohmmeters and diagnostic equipment Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents Conduct service calls for repairs involving appliance repair, property maintenance, or mechanical failures Repair or replace mechanical components such as motors, compressors, valves, and piping (including plumbing) Assist with welding or other equipment repair tasks as needed Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and building codes Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used during service calls Operate field service vehicles safely and responsibly Skills Proven experience in construction, HVAC installation, or service technician roles Strong mechanical knowledge related to air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, and appliance repair Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately Knowledge of plumbing systems and ammonia refrigeration is a plus Familiarity with HVAC/R systems including refrigeration cycles and maintenance procedures Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment Experience with equipment repair including welding or boiler maintenance preferred Mechanical aptitude with property maintenance or appliance repair background advantageous Valid driver's license required; experience operating field service vehicles necessary Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment while utilizing your technical skills to deliver high-quality service.
