In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Your mechanical knowledge, field service experience, and technical skills will be essential to success in this role. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and component replacements to ensure peak performance. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems including pipe fittings, drainage, and refrigerant lines. Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment to identify electrical or mechanical faults. Repair or replace refrigeration components including ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R equipment. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting all work performed for accountability and future reference. Collaborate with property managers or clients to develop HVAC design solutions tailored to specific building needs. Operate welding tools when necessary for custom fabrication or repairs of HVAC components. Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all installation and repair activities. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems with a strong background in construction or property maintenance environments. Hands-on experience with schematics reading, HVAC design principles, and mechanical troubleshooting. Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC installations and repairs. Familiarity with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable. Mechanical aptitude with proficiency in equipment repair, welding, boiler maintenance, and appliance repair. Field service experience working on air conditioning units, ventilation systems, boilers, or similar mechanical equipment. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a driver is a plus.
