This position plays a critical role in maintaining and servicing HVAC equipment for our valued customers while providing exceptional customer service and building strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and possess a strong work ethic. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring customer equipment operates efficiently and reliably. Essential Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance on commercial and residential HVAC equipment. Change and maintain air filters according to customer maintenance schedules. Test electrical components and verify proper operation of HVAC systems. Perform basic diagnostics and identify potential equipment issues during maintenance visits. Document maintenance activities, findings, and recommendations accurately and thoroughly. Maintain organized inventory and storage of filters, maintenance materials, and related supplies. Complete customer paperwork, maintenance reports, and service records in a timely manner. Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment conditions and maintenance recommendations. Maintain positive customer relationships and represent Alexander Mechanical in a professional manner. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Assist Service Technicians with repairs and service work as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of HVAC experience preferred. Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and preventative maintenance procedures. Ability to safely use testing equipment and perform basic electrical component checks. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to work independently and manage daily maintenance schedules. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb ladders, work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and confined spaces as needed. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
