Job Description

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inside Sales / Estimator to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with strong industry knowledge in plumbing, heating, and mechanical systems who enjoys balancing customer interaction, estimating, material coordination, and shop operations. The right candidate will play a key role in supporting field technicians, preparing professional proposals, coordinating materials, and helping ensure projects run efficiently from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Estimating & Proposal Development Review service recommendations submitted by field technicians and prepare accurate customer proposals Develop detailed estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and project scope Communicate effectively with technicians and customers to ensure proposals accurately reflect field conditions and client needs Follow up on outstanding proposals and assist in closing service opportunities Materials Coordination & Shop Operations Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient shop environment Pull, stage, and coordinate materials for upcoming projects and service calls Order materials from vendors and track deliveries to ensure jobs remain on schedule Utilize strong product knowledge to source the appropriate materials at competitive pricing Monitor inventory levels and proactively identify restocking needs Customer & Team Support Serve as a key point of communication between office staff, field technicians, suppliers, and customers Provide responsive customer service and support throughout the estimating and project process Assist with scheduling coordination and operational support as needed Qualifications Significant experience in the plumbing, heating, and/or mechanical industry Field experience or supply house background strongly preferred Strong understanding of plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical materials, systems, and suppliers Experience preparing estimates, proposals, or job costing preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and estimating or service software
