HVAC Service Technician

Areas premier propane and home heating oil company, Combined Energy Services, has an immediate opening for a HVAC Service Tech. The Service Tech provides safe and reliable service to our residential and commercial customers by installing, repairing and maintaining their propane and/or fuel oil heating systems and appliances as well as air conditioning systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Installation and service of propane & oil burners, water heaters, oil tanks, boilers, air handles, furnaces etc. at customer sites.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair customer equipment and appliances.
• Perform routine maintenance.
• Perform system safety checks, gas leak tests and complete documentation.
• Educate and assist customers in all manners of the safe operation of their home heating/cooling systems and gas burning appliances.
• Prepare Service Work Order ticket on all service work done.
• Participate in our rotating single night "on-call" schedule after-hours, on weekends and holidays.
• Maintain an appropriate stock of recommended parts in vehicle.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Have great customer service skills.
• Maintain a positive attitude towards coworkers.
• Attend meetings and schools/training as required.
• Adhere to Company policies and procedures.
• Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor, manager or owner.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with installing, diagnosing & repairing heating / air conditioning systems preferred but we will train the right person.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to problem solve, make repairs and deliver customer service without supervision.
• Clean and safe driving record.
• Able to pass Background Check where applicable.
• Willingness to work outside and drive in all weather conditions.
• Must be available to work overtime when needed.
