Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician Air Docs Inc Port Chester, NY Job Details Full-time $25 - $55 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Retirement plan Qualifications EPA EPA Refrigeration Certification Customer service Equipment troubleshooting Driver's License Electrical experience Driving Blueprint reading EPA Universal Certification HVAC system repair Service technician experience Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, maintain, and optimize heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and/or commercial clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to delivering excellent service.
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on HVAC service and repair experience HVAC technical school certification or associate degree preferred Valid driver's license with clean driving record EPA Universal Certification required Ability to pass background check Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for residential and/or commercial systems Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manualsResponsibilities:
Diagnose and repair HVAC systems (air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, boilers, hydronic systems, ductwork, controls, and related components). Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and energy efficiency. Interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals. Install, modify, and upgrade HVAC equipment and controls as needed. Troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, and mechanical issues; document findings and recommended solutions. Communicate clearly with customers about issues, options, and timelines. Maintain accurate service tickets, parts used, and time estimates in our service management software. Adhere to safety protocols and local codes (e.g., NEC, EPA Refrigerant Handling certification if applicable). Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction. Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as required.Benefits:
