Cooney Air is looking for Commercial HVAC Installers to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to diagnose and repair any issues that arise. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, and repairing Commercial HVAC systems, as well as performing regular maintenance checks and inspections. We are looking for a professional who is detail-oriented, organized, and has excellent problem-solving skills. Walk-ins are welcome!

Ongoing training and support; professional development Medical, Dental, and Vision plans Supplemental insurance options 401K with company match Short- and Long-Term Disability Plans Available Life Insurance Policy Free to Employees Paid Holidays Paid Time Off & Vacation Equipment, uniforms, and fully stocked vehicle What You'll do: Install commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, split systems, boilers, chillers, and make-up air units Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings Install ductwork, piping, insulation, and refrigeration lines Perform brazing, soldering, and pipe fitting (copper, steel, PVC as applicable) Connect electrical wiring, controls, thermostats, and building automation interfaces Pressure test, evacuate, and charge systems with refrigerant Start up systems and verify proper operation, airflow, and performance Troubleshoot installation issues and make necessary adjustments Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes Coordinate with project managers, HVAC Technicians, call center, inspectors, etc. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety policies Accurately complete job documentation, checklists, and daily reports Assist with mentoring apprentices and less experienced installers as needed
Qualifications:
2-3+ years of Commercial HVAC Install preferred Universal EPA Certification Strong knowledge of refrigeration, controls, and electrical systems. Experience maintaining / repairing commercial heating & cooling equipment Valid driver's license & good driving record Must possess a strong desire to be part of a service team and company that cares about you Able to lift 75lbs unassisted; Able to handle a 32ft extension ladder Refrigeration, chiller, oil, and gas burner experience a huge plus!
