Responsibilities Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems according to schematics and HVAC design plans. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC/R equipment to ensure efficient operation. Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to accurately assemble and install complex systems. Conduct field service repairs on appliances and mechanical equipment such as boilers, refrigeration units, and ventilation fans. Diagnose issues using tools like ohmmeters and other testing devices; perform necessary repairs or component replacements. Weld or perform basic plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations; ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes. Maintain detailed records of installation processes, service reports, and maintenance logs for each project completed. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC installation, repair, or service technician roles. Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents. Practical experience with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus. Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC setups; familiarity with appliance repair is advantageous. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment confidently. Field service experience working directly on-site with property maintenance or equipment repair projects. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers or similar vehicles preferred. Basic understanding of electrical systems related to HVAC/R equipment; ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
