On our facilities team, your job will be to create a comfortable and safe environment — just like our patients have come to expect. You'll gain experience working on a wide range of projects and HVAC systems throughout our facilities, train with the newest technology, and receive guidance from fellow caregivers and management. A caregiver in this position works variable shifts, 7:00am - 3:30pm at Main Campus, downtown Cleveland , with rotating weekends and holiday requirements . A caregiver who excels in this role will: Inspect, repair, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment throughout the facility. Document and maintain records of inspections and work performed. Inspect and maintain all temperature, humidity, and data logging devices, including meters and gauges. Utilize the building management system (BMS) to address customer service requests, adjust temperature set points, and start and stop equipment. Receive and respond to work orders from the computerized maintenance management system. Respond to alarms and alerts appropriately. Work at additional Cleveland Clinic locations as needed. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High S chool D iploma or GED Valid D river's L icense (VDL) and insurable driving record Three years of experience with chiller systems, reheat systems, v a riable frequency drives (VFD), air handling units (AHU), humidifiers, dampers, heating and cooling coils, cooling towers and/or pumps OR military experience as a Utilities M an (UT), Machinists Mate (MM), HVAC/R (3E1X1), Utilities Equipment Repairer (91C) or a similar role Understanding of the tools and techniques used to maintain , diagnose and repair HVAC systems Basic knowledge of building management systems Ability to read blueprints
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information Ability to move/transport items weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.) Ability to move/transport equipment weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.) Ability to move/transport carts weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.) Ability to inspect equipment Ability to install, repair and maintain systems, equipment, fixtures and/or structures Ability to distinguish color Ability to climb ladders ​
