They are known to respect a traditional work week and often extend contracts for added job security and stability Overview We are seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Technician to support commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing of building automation systems (BAS). This role is responsible for ensuring systems operate efficiently, resolving technical issues, and delivering high-quality service to customers in commercial or industrial environments. Responsibilities Perform system commissioning using standard configuration and commissioning tools Load, configure, and verify system-level controller software Troubleshoot HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues Conduct diagnostics from controllers to field devices (e.g., sensors, actuators) Calibrate systems using electronic test equipment Respond to service and warranty calls, ensuring timely resolution Document commissioning activities and maintain accurate system records Communicate job progress, issues, and resolutions with internal teams and customers Complete administrative tasks including time tracking, expense reports, and service documentation Follow all safety standards and participate in required safety training Identify system inefficiencies and recommend improvements Support solution development and provide quotes for recommended upgrades or repairs Required Qualifications Associate degree or vocational training in electronics, mechanical systems, HVAC, or a related field OR Minimum 4+ years of experience servicing HVAC, mechanical, or electrical systems Experience with HVAC controls systems and/or building automation systems (BAS) Knowledge of commissioning, diagnostics, and system servicing techniques Familiarity with facility systems and peripheral equipment installation Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Proficiency with computers and HVAC-related software/tools Ability to work independently in a field-based environment

Local travel required; personal vehicle may be used (mileage reimbursed)

Driving Requirement:

Yes Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have) Experience with building automation platforms (e.g., BACnet, Niagara, or similar systems) Prior commissioning experience in commercial or industrial facilities Exposure to energy efficiency or facility optimization initiatives
