HVAC Maintenance Technician About the Role Are you an experienced HVAC professional who loves helping people but hates high-pressure sales quotas? At Eco, we do things differently. As an HVAC Maintenance Technician, your focus is entirely on service, not selling! You will spend your days educating residential clients about their systems and providing proactive, preventative solutions to keep their homes comfortable. Our core value is "Grow or Die". Key Responsibilities Customer Education:
Follow our established service system to educate customers on products, services, and potential system issues.
Quality Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on residential HVAC systems with top-tier workmanship.
Rapport & Service:
Establish strong customer rapport and deliver a knowledgeable, professional experience that wins repeat business and referrals.
Performance:
Consistently meet and exceed key performance requirements.
Site & Vehicle Care:
Maintain a clean, organized job site and truck, keeping it well-stocked.
Team Collaboration:
Participate actively in mandatory team meetings, department gatherings, and rotational one-on-one sessions with your manager.
Administrative Tasks:
Debrief with dispatch after every completed job, review time cards daily for accuracy, and report any vehicle or equipment shortages/damages to the warehouse.
Adaptability:
Perform physical activity comfortably across various climate and weather conditions.
Job Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
Proven residential HVAC experience with a relentless drive to be a better technician tomorrow than you are today. EPA certificate preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
Solid knowledge of local HVAC codes and the ability to make on-the-job applications.
Tools:
Must possess the necessary tools to successfully do the job.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal communicator who can build relationships and clearly explain system needs to clients.
Tech-Savvy:
Ability to learn and efficiently navigate iPad software for daily operations.
Team Player:
An individual contributor who thrives independently but loves winning as a team.
Company Alignment:
Fully knowledgeable about and aligned with the company's mission, policies, and guarantees.
Screening:
All job offers are strictly contingent upon passing a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Schedule, Training, & Expectations The Workweek:
Typical shifts are 8 to 10 hours a day, 5 days per week, including regular weekend or evening work per a rotational on-call schedule. Shift days and times can vary after training, and your final agreement may include working a second shift or a weekend day.
Weather Extremes:
During peak seasons and extreme weather-related events, the position may require long hours.
Lunch Breaks:
A daily 30-minute lunch break is automatically documented from your timecard.
Training & Certifications:
We invest heavily in your professional development, including OSHA Safety. Because we value growth, you must be able and willing to travel out-of-state for required certification courses.
Timeline:
There is a strict 90-day probationary period during which no unapproved absences, late arrivals, or early dismissals are allowed. Company benefits officially kick off right after you complete these first 90 days. #GetEco
