HVAC Install Technician Immediate opening for an experienced HVAC install technician focused on residential and light commercial installations, with some service call support. Sign-on bonus included! About the Role Blackthorn Mechanical (DBA Kirkwood Heating, Cooling & Plumbing) is seeking an experienced, reliable HVAC Install Technician to support our growing operations. This role is primarily residential HVAC installation , with some service call support and occasional light commercial work . This is a hands-on, field-based role for a technician who takes pride in clean diagnostics, customer communication, and follow-through. The technician will function as a working installer who can run jobs independently while reporting directly to ownership/operations leadership. Key Responsibilities Install residential HVAC systems including furnaces, ACs, heat pumps, and ductwork Perform equipment changeouts and system replacements Support occasional service and maintenance calls as needed Handle light commercial and rooftop unit installations Communicate clearly with customers regarding job progress and next steps Complete installation documentation and job paperwork accurately Work independently and alongside other technicians on larger installs Coordinate with dispatch and leadership on job scheduling and materials What This Role Is Primarily installation with some light service Mostly residential, with some light commercial exposure A hands-on install role with autonomy in the field Some service call support as needed Clear reporting structure and support from ownership Qualifications 2+ years HVAC installation experience preferred Strong installation skills including ductwork, linesets, electrical, and gas piping Ability to read and follow equipment specifications and installation manuals Comfort with occasional rooftop / light commercial units EPA certification required Valid driver's license and clean driving record Professional, reliable, and team-oriented mindset
