HVAC Installer (1+ Years Experience Preferred)

HVAC New Construction Installer Columbus, Ohio McCoy Heating and Air Conditioning is currently searching for any HVAC New Construction Installers to join our team building HVAC systems in residential single-family homes to custom built million-dollar homes. We offer training on the job, year-round work, and 40 hours every week. Schedule Full Time Monday to Friday Weekends when in demand

$18 - $28 / hour, offer based on experience Year-Round Work / 40 Hours Work Weeks Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Uniforms Piece Rate Pay Tool Purchasing Plan Health Insurance IRA Retirement Plan Essential Responsibilities Install HVAC systems, including furnaces, coils, sheet metal/flex ductwork, flues, vents, flashings, fans, returns, bypasses, boots, plenums, trunks, linesets, and wiring on new construction sites. Prepare, sort, layout, paint, assemble, seal, and insulate HVAC materials and ducts, position in attics and floors. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and plans for accurate HVAC placement and integration.

Conduct basic carpentry:

measure, cut, and modify wood framing for HVAC accommodations. Handle weather-dependent tasks (e.g., roof flashings), cleanup sites, consolidate materials, and ensure timeline compliance. Physical and Environmental Requirements Climb and work on top of 8 foot ladders / scaffolding, access roofs / multi-floors; handle heights up to 10-30 ft. safely. Tolerate all weather and temperatures (attic heat 100°F+, winter cold 10°F) Work in tight spots like attics and mechanical rooms: crawl, kneel, bend, reach for periods. Lift / carry heavy items (ducts, furnaces, coils) up to 50-75 lbs. Manage long periods of standing, walking, manual work; precise tool use for assembly, sealing, framing, wiring. Perform repetitive tasks (measure, cut, paint, connect) with fine motor skills. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma / GED; HVAC training preferred. Valid driver's license; reliable transport to sites. 0-2+ years HVAC install experience, ideally new construction/residential.

Proficient with tools / materials:

shears, crimpers, sealants, insulation, saws, drills, wiring tools.

Knowledge of HVAC components:

furnaces, coils, plenums, trunks, flex/metal ducts, boots, fans, vents, flues, linesets, thermostats. Read / interpret blueprints, schematics, plans for layouts/integrations.

Understand codes / specs:

wiring, piping, and safety compliance. Basic carpentry skills for
