This role is for a technician who already has real field experience and is ready to move beyond basic support work into consistent independent execution. You should be comfortable handling the majority of common service calls, maintenance, and standard installations on your own. You are still developing advanced skills, but you are no longer learning the basics— you are refining your craft, improving efficiency, and building confidence in diagnosis and decision-making. You must also be willing to embrace new technologies as our industry is rapidly-advancing. Position Overview This role is responsible for performing service, maintenance, and standard installations independently , while continuing to develop toward full job ownership. You will handle your own jobs in most cases, manage time and workflow, and ensure quality outcomes—while recognizing when situations require escalation or input from leadership. Core Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair common residential and light commercial HVAC issues (capacitors, motors, contactors, airflow issues, thermostat problems, etc.).
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and system performance testing using company-provided tools and software.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, airflow, and control issues.
  • Complete standard installations, equipment replacements, and component upgrades.
  • Verify and test system performance to ensure proper and safe operation before leaving the job. Job Ownership & Accountability
  • Handle most assigned service calls and maintenance visits independently.
  • Manage daily workload efficiently to stay on schedule without sacrificing quality.
  • Follow established service and installation procedures consistently.
  • Prioritize doing jobs correctly the first time to minimize callbacks and warranty work.
  • Maintain organized workflow, tools, and materials on each job. Customer Communication
  • Explain issues and solutions clearly.
  • Present and close standard repairs using company pricing guidelines.
  • Build trust through professionalism, honesty, and clear communication.
  • Notify customers of any delays, concerns, or unexpected findings. Documentation
  • Complete service tickets and notes accurately.
  • Use dispatch, invoicing, and CRM systems effectively.
  • Ensure documentation is complete enough for office processing and future reference. Safety Standards
  • Maintain clean and safe jobsite.
  • Follow safety procedures at all times.
  • Escalate when safety risks, complex issues, or system re-designs arise. Minimum Requirements
  • 3+ years HVAC experience required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills with various HVAC systems including zoned systems, communicating systems, modulating systems and minisplit systems.
  • Universal EPA Certification
  • Valid driver's license with clean record.
  • Must pass background and drug testing. Tools, Training & Support
  • Company-provided tools (some personal tools required).
  • Dispatch, invoicing, and job documentation software.
  • Continued training to build advanced diagnostic skills.
  • Office support for scheduling, billing, and coordination.
Pay:
$20
  • 30/hr (based on experience) Schedule Monday-Friday, 8 AM-4:30 PM + occasional evenings/weekends as needed OR Monday-Friday, 10 AM-6:30 PM + occasional evenings/weekends as needed (shift hours are subject to change for large projects or emergency service calls) Why Join Us?
